About our company

Schelkovo Agrohim JSC is a robust and upswing company with steadily growing production intensification and output.

The Company’s core activity is the production of pesticides for comprehensive protection of most critical agricultural crops and agrochemicals with increased microelements contents. The product line comprises over 120 products and includes herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, seed disinfectants, fumigants, rodenticides, desiccants, adjuvants, and pheromones. With production of only several preparations amounting in general to 1,000 liters at the outset, the Company has reached high performance indicators and became a leader in manufacture and sales of crop protection chemicals. Nowadays, the Company produces over 25,000 tons of products worth more than RUB 14 billion.

During the last decade, Schelkovo Agrohim owning state-of-the-art analytical and technological laboratories launched the production of semi-finished products for pharmaceutical substances. Product quality has been proved through longstanding cooperation with pharmaceutical companies.
   
A high scientific potential, and strong production and research capabilities allow market launch of innovative crop protection solutions. The Company’s scientific experts developed and implemented unique formulations with a reduced concentration of active ingredients and higher preparation efficiency, which became possible thanks to the structure of preparative forms ensuring better and faster penetration of active ingredients. Preparations based on brand new formulations are more environmentally friendly. These are used by agricultural producers to be able to offer higher quality products at lower costs.

Perfect quality of products is achieved by means of multi-tier analytical monitoring implemented at all production stages and during finished product acceptance. The Company maintains a Quality Management System in line with International standards ISO 9001:2015 that forms an additional guarantee of high quality production.

The Company runs an Agrochemical Research Center fitted up with state-of-the-art equipment, where two types of studies are performed, chemical/agrochemical and biological. Bio-efficiency of preparations and proposed crop protection solutions are validated by Schelkovo Agrohim specialists a yearly basis in test facilities all over the Russian Federation.

The Company collaborates with Russian research institutes, such as All-Russian Institute of Plant Protection (VIZR), All-Russian Research Institute of Phytopatology (VNIIF), Erisman Federal Research Centre of Hygiene (FNTsG), All-Russian Research Institute of Wood (VNIID), All-Russian Research Institute of Sugar Beet and Sugar (VNIISS), Timiryazev Russian State Agricultural University—Moscow Agricultural Academy (RGAU MSKhA), and others to conduct preparation toxicological and bioactivity studies, as may be required.

Schelkovo Agrohim supplies its products to all agricultural regions of Russia, CIS countries and is entering the non-CIS market. There are regional sales offices and an extensive distribution network in place. Company’s highly skilled specialists provide technological support at all stages of cropping and advice on the use of preparations. The outcome of the joint activities involving agricultural producers and Schelkovo Agrohim's consultants is heavy crop of perfect quality and high economic efficiency.

Since 2006, Schelkovo Agrohim invests in the development of Dubovitskoe LLC facilities in Oryol Oblast while employing their most advanced ideas, knowledge, and experience. A state-of-the-art high-tech agricultural complex was created based on these facilities. Today, it is considered a leading agricultural company in Oryol Oblast and throughout Russia.

In 2009, Dubovitskoe LLC launched a state-of-the-art grain facility, which was later visited by President Dmitry Medvedev. Grain facility capacity is as follows: seeds production—20 tons per hour, acceptance and processing of commercial grain—40 tons per hour. Its elevator capacity is 34,000 tons of grain stored at a time.

In 2011, Betagran Ramon LLC, a state-of-the-art plant producing pelleted seeds of sugar beet, was launched in Voronezh Oblast. The plant capacity is 400,000 seed units per year, which will help meet 37% to 40% of sugar beet seed demand in the Russian Federation.

In 2012, Schelkovo Agrohim started a new project, manufacturing of products for country house owners under a new brand Oktyabrina Aprelevna with a wide range of preparations in three areas: plant protection (from weeds, pests and diseases), organomineral fertilizers, and protection from insect bites. The brand is introduced by Oktyabrina Ganichkina, Ph.D. in agricultural science, author of numerous books, and renowned TV and radio anchor.

Dairy farming is a new Company’s activity. A new livestock breeding complex was opened on December 25, 2014 to produce bioproducts for quick rearing of high-yielding livestock, Betagran Lipetsk LLC. The complex capacity is over 9,000 embryos per year. Total investments in the project unrivaled in Russia amount to RUB 370 million.

Since 2015, Schelkovo Agrohim is the official dealer for the sale of agricultural machinery from Projet and Mascar Italian manufacturers: self-propelled and trailed sprayers with different options for the width of the rod, precision seeders for row crops, roller chain balers.

In 2017, production of innovative Betanet nets for protecting gardens from hail and birds was launched in the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria. The anti-hail net is indispensable for fruit crops, especially in the areas most prone to negative weather factors. 

In the same 2017, the SoyuzSemSvekla company was established to create competitive, highly plastic sugar beet hybrids with a potential productivity of white sugar of at least 10 tons/ha, generally resistant to major diseases. Creation of qualitatively new, highly productive, resistant to diseases, and uniform for the basic biomorphological features sugar beet hybrids is currently one of the most important purposes of contemporary beet breeding.
