The best result and quickest herbicide action of the preparation are achieved by:
- plant treatment in the morning at ambient temperature of +25⁰C;
- minimum preparation doses while observing optimal treatment timing;
- maximum doses – in case of high weed content and overgrown weeds.
Application technique. Mix preparation method
Prepare the mix immediately before use. Stir thoroughly the preparation before mixing.
Fill the sprayer tank with water to 2/3 of its volume, slowly add the entire preparation dose while stirring, and rinse the container with preparation remainders several times with water. Pour water after rinsing the preparation container to the sprayer tank and top up with remaining water while continuously stirring, then add the required amount of surfactant.
Prepare the mix and fill the sprayer on dedicated sites that are disinfected afterwards.
Use ground-based beam sprayers Amazone, OPSh-15-01, OPSh-3-24, ON-400, OP-2000-2-01, or similar.
Max. mix concentration – 0.5% of preparation.
Compatibility
Efficient when used alone.
Using a clethodim preparation in mixes with other preparations may result in reduced efficiency. Check for physical compatibility with other preparations in a small vessel before mixing, and meet usage regulations and recommendations for all components of the mix. Do not commingle with fertilizers.
Potential for resistance
No facts of resistance to clethodim preparations were revealed. To prevent resistance of cereal weeds to the preparation, alternate, where possible, herbicides with different mechanisms of action.
Phytotoxicity
No delays in crop growth and development is recorded when the preparation is used in recommended doses.
Recommendations on protection of valuable flora and fauna objects, limitations
The preparation is of low hazard to bees and fish – Hazard Class 3.
Basic provisions of the ‘Guidelines for preventing bee poisoning with pesticides’ and following environmental regulations:
treat plants early in the morning and evening at wind speed up to 4 or 5 m/sec;
protection boundary zone for bees – min. 2-3 km;
bee’s flight time limitation – 3-4 hours.
Warn apiary owners 4 or 5 days before treatment.
The preparation may be used within the sanitary zone of fishery water bodies.
