Advantages:

High biological effect to control weeds having a strong wax protective layer (for example, Chenopodium album)

Mode of action
Ethofumesate impairs mitosis in weed cells. It penetrates plants predominantly via their root systems and then translates through the stalk to their leaves. It inhibits the Hill reaction during photosynthesis. The action is function of soil humidity and organic contents in soil. Adequate soil humidity and low organic content are positive factors.

Protective period
Until the next wave of weeds, which is dependent on weather conditions in the year of application. The preparation affects weeds present in the plantings during spraying.

Speed of action
The preparation has a systemic effect. Visible signs of herbicide action appear depending on weather conditions on 4th to 8th day after application.

Compatibility with other preparations
The preparation has a good compatibility with most cereal herbicides: Healer, OEC; Censor, EC; Forward, OEC; Mitron, SC; Lornet, SL; Betaren 22, OEC; Betaren Super MD, OEC; Betaren Express AM, EC. In each specific case, the components to be commingled shall be checked for physical and chemical compatibility.

The herbicide preparation for beet plantings is intended to control annual bilobate weeds, including amaranth and some species of annual cereal weeds.

Mix preparation method
Prepare the mix immediately before use. Dose the preparation for a single fill of the sprayer. Then prepare the mix as follows: Fill the sprayer tank to about its half with water, add the required herbicide dose and top up with water until full while continuously stirring using hydraulic agitators. Rinse the empty tank several times with water that is then poured into the sprayer tank. Prepare the herbicide mix and fill the sprayer on dedicated sites that are disinfected afterwards.
Use commercially available ground-based boom sprayers provided with slit-type nozzles for herbicide application.

Hazard class III, moderate hazard.

Phytotoxicity
ACTION, SC (500 g/l) is quite selective and normally does not affect sugar beet plantings when used in accordance with the proposed regulations.

Potential for resistance
Not observed.

Storage conditions
Keep the preparation in a room dedicated for pesticide storage. Temperature range is minus 10⁰C to plus 35⁰C. Stir before use
